Privacy Policy
Last updated June 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Uncle Ron Media, LLC (“Uncle Ron Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit uncleronmedia.com (the “Site”), contact us, or engage us for marketing, consulting, or related services.
We are a small Georgia-based marketing consultancy. We try to collect as little personal information as we reasonably can, and we don’t sell your data. If anything in this policy is unclear, email [email protected] and a human will answer.
1. Who we are
Uncle Ron Media, LLC is the data controller for personal information collected through this Site.
- Business: Uncle Ron Media, LLC
- Mailing address: 11 Browmn Rd, Bowersville, Georgia 30516, United States
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: 706-436-6831
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the Site and respond to you.
2.1 Information you give us
- Contact & inquiry information — when you fill out a form, email, text, or call us: name, business name, email, phone number, and whatever you choose to write in your message.
- Client onboarding information — if you become a client, additional details needed to perform the work, such as billing details, account credentials you share with us, brand assets, and project content.
- Comments & community content — if you post a comment on the blog, your name, email, comment, IP address, and browser user agent are stored to fight spam.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Log & device data — IP address, browser type, device type, referring/exit pages, pages visited, and timestamps. Used for security, debugging, and basic analytics.
- Cookies & similar technologies — small files stored on your device to keep the Site working, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can manage these on our Opt-Out Preferences page.
- Analytics — aggregated, mostly anonymous traffic data (page views, sources, rough geography) so we can see what’s working.
2.3 Information from third parties
If you connect with us through social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Messenger), or through advertising or directory listings (Google Business Profile, etc.), those services may share basic profile information with us according to their privacy policies.
3. How we use information
We use the information above only for these purposes:
- Respond to inquiries, quotes, and proposals.
- Provide and improve the consulting, marketing, design, AI, and workflow services we’ve agreed to deliver.
- Send invoices, receipts, contracts, and other service communications.
- Send occasional updates, blog posts, or offers — only if you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- Keep the Site secure, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.
- Measure how the Site is performing in aggregate so we can make it better.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the EU/UK or another region that requires it, our legal bases are:
- Consent — for non-essential cookies, marketing emails, and similar opt-in choices.
- Contract — to deliver services you’ve hired us for or that you’ve requested.
- Legitimate interests — running, securing, and improving the Site and our business, in ways that don’t override your rights.
- Legal obligation — bookkeeping, tax, and responding to lawful requests.
5. How we share information
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in the limited cases below:
| Recipient type | Why | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting & infrastructure | Run the Site and store data securely. | Hosting provider, CDN, backup storage. |
| Email & communications | Send and receive email, SMS, calls, and bookings. | Google Workspace, transactional email provider, SMS/voice providers. |
| Analytics & performance | Understand site traffic in aggregate. | Server logs and analytics tools. |
| Payment processors | Process invoices and payments. We don’t store full card numbers. | Bank, PayPal, Stripe, or similar. |
| Professional advisors | Accounting, legal, insurance, and compliance. | CPA, attorney, insurer. |
| Authorities | When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights and safety. | Law enforcement, regulators. |
| Successors | If the business is sold, merged, or restructured, information may transfer with it. | Buyer or successor entity. |
We require service providers to handle your information in line with this policy and applicable law.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember basic preferences, secure the Site, and measure aggregated traffic. Some of these are strictly necessary and some are optional.
You can manage your cookie and tracking preferences any time on our Opt-Out Preferences page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the Site may not work as expected if you do.
We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, because there is no consistent industry standard for them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where they are required.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law:
- Inquiry messages: typically up to 24 months, then deleted unless you become a client.
- Client records, contracts, and invoices: kept for the duration of our engagement and for at least 7 years after, for tax and recordkeeping purposes.
- Blog comments: kept while they remain relevant, unless you ask us to remove yours.
- Server logs and security data: typically 30–180 days.
- Backups: rotated on a regular schedule and overwritten over time.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to admin systems, strong unique passwords, two-factor authentication where supported, and regular backups.
No system on the internet is 100% secure. If we ever experience a security incident that materially affects your personal information, we will notify you and, where required, the appropriate authorities.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Deletion — ask us to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., we have to keep certain invoices).
- Portability — ask for a copy of certain information in a usable format.
- Opt-out of marketing — unsubscribe from marketing emails or texts at any time.
- Opt-out of cookies/“sales” or sharing — use the Opt-Out Preferences page. We do not sell personal information for money.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us what you’d like us to do. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30–45 days).
U.S. state residents (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others)
Where applicable state law gives you specific rights — including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — you may exercise them as described above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
10. International users
Uncle Ron Media is based in the United States. If you visit the Site from outside the U.S., information about you will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States. By using the Site, you understand that U.S. data protection laws may differ from those of your home country.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites (clients, partners, social platforms, tools). We’re not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Check their policies before sharing personal information with them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
